The Community of Assisi Shanthi Kendra,   Karukutty,   had a warm Holy Week celebration. The celebrations began on Sunday, April 10, 2022 with the Palm Sunday celebration, the Community joined for the Palm Sunday Eucharistic celebration, which was presided over by V.Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Kalluvettukuzhiyil and Rev. Fr. Stephen Ollethazhathu delivered the Palm Sunday sermon recalling the true meaning of the day and the spiritual importance of the Holy Week. The inmost example of Christ`s love was exemplified by the washing of the feet on Maundy Thursday which was presided by Rev. Fr. Stephen Ollethazhathu, and Rev. Fr. Mithin Kavalammackal gave a stirring message of the day of the institution of the Holy Eucharist. Since we are not permitted to celebrate the Good Friday ceremonies in our church the Friars went various Parishes to recall the sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ. We had the Easter Vigil Mass at 09.30 pm and V. Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Kalluvettukuzhiyil was the main celebrant and he has given us a wonderful message too. The main thrust of his homily was the joy of singing hallelujah in the hope we had received by the Resurrection of Jesus. The zenith of Easter Joy   was embodied when the Community joined for the sumptuous Easter Lunch.
