Kolbe Prison Mission (KPM) is a new apostolate of the Conventual Franciscans in India. It was started in Kolbe Franciscan Ashram in the Silver Jubilee Year of its establishment in the Spirit of St. Maximillian Kolbe, to give a helping hand to the prisoners, who are rejected from the society. Kobe Prison Mission aims at giving counselling to the prisoners, visiting prisons, visiting prisoners families and enable them to accept the prisoners to their families. A group of friars, as members fulfill these ends by conducting prayer meetings, adorations, Holy Masses in the jails, sending seasonal greeting cards etc. In short, KPM works for the reconciliation and reformation of the prisoners. The K.P.M. also organizes classes and seminars which provides orientations in this field to the people who are interested in this field for the people and the elite provides certain orientations.
