Water is the elixir of life. The health of a community depends on what they eat and drink. The water level of the villages of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish at Christianpet, Andhra Pradesh, is below 20 ft. The excessive contents of Calcium and other minerals, which are dangerous to health, are very high in the soil. Since the water level is very high even in polluted or used water, get mixed with good water. The population of these villages is very high. They live in congested situation. There is no proper drainage system. Most of the bore wells for drinking water are made in the drainage itself. It is true that the government is supposed to take care of these needs of the people. Even though from the part of government they try to supply good drinking water the pipes and the means used are unhygienic and improper. There is a constant plea from the part of the people to the politicians and government official for having good water to drink. Since these people are backward and low caste their cries are not heard many times.

Seeing the difficulty of the people from the part of Parish, we began to collect some amount of money for making a water purifying plant (REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER PURIFIERS, INDUSTRIAL R.O. SYSTEMS). From their little treasure and from the contribution from Parish, we could realize the project. At present, the project is running in the Parish of St. Maximilian Kolbe at Christianpet.
