Blessing of the Renovated Chapel

A Sanctuary Renewed for Worship, Peace, and Spiritual Growth

Nirmalaram Franciscan Ashram – November 19, 2025: The blessing of the newly renovated chapel of Nirmalaram Franciscan Ashram took place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 5:30 PM. His Excellency Mar Sebastian Vaniyapurackal, Curia Bishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, presided over this sacred event, transforming it into a heartfelt tribute to God and the Blessed Mother. This momentous occasion symbolized faith, unity, and dedication, as the beautifully restored church now stands as a testament to the collective efforts of the community.

The artistic transformation of the chapel and altar was a striking highlight, with the space now exuding spiritual beauty and reverence. Adding to its significance was the installation of the Stations of the Cross and a unique image titled "The Nativity of Our Lord," which features portraits of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Maximilian Kolbe, further enriching the devout and serene environment.

The celebration began joyously with an inspiring welcome speech by Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Kalluvettukuzhiyil, the Guardian of the Community. Very Rev. Fr. Michael Earaly, Minister Provincial, along with friars from various communities across the province, neighboring religious priests, sisters, and the lay faithful, graced the occasion with their presence, amplifying its importance. The renovated chapel now stands as a powerful symbol of shared dedication and profound belief, ready to serve as a sacred space for peace and spiritual growth for many years to come.
