A journey of faith : Pilgrimage to Italy
“I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”- Psalm 9:1.Giving thanks to the Almighty for the grace of this pilgrimage. To walk these sacred paths not just as a traveler, but as a priest, has been a humbling renewal of my own calling.
Our journey begins with attending franciscan course and visits to Franciscan places guided by Fr Adam M and Rome visit coordinated by Fr. Martin.
“The most sacred encounter of the pilgrimage occurred in the crypt of the Basilica of San Francesco. Visiting the tomb during this Jubilee year, marking 800 years of the Seraphic Father’s legacy, was a moment of profound blessing in my life .
The visit to the Chapel of the Relics at the Basilica of St. Anthony was a moment of profound sensory and spiritual impact. Witnessing the Incorrupt Tongue and Jawbone of the Saint.
During this ongoing formation program of “St Bonaventure Project” i had the opportunity to visit various Franciscan Communities of Rome,Assisi,Padua, Siena , Pescia.
I express my heartfelt thankyou to all our Franciscan Friars for their warm hospitality,kindness & care they showed during our italy visit.
This journey was far more than a simple tour; it was a transformative experience that strengthened my faith and broadened my understanding of the
Church’s rich heritage.
I return from this pilgrimage with a grateful heart - Thankyou, Lord, for the gift of this journey.A journey of faith, where every cathedral tells a story of devotion and every quiet chapel offers a moment of grace.
