Installation and Oath of Guardian Fr. Francis Paramby
New Leadership Assumes Responsibility at St. Bonaventure Ashram, Bangalore
May 2, 2026, Karukutty: Following the General Meeting presided over by the Provincial Minister at Assisi Shanthi Kendra, Karukutty, Fr. Francis Paramby officially took the Oath of Office and assumed his responsibilities as the Guardian of the St. Bonaventure Ashram, Bangalore.
The ceremony was marked by the Profession of Faith and the Oath of Fidelity, signifying Fr. Francis’ commitment to serve the fraternity and carry out his ministry in accordance with the spirit of St. Francis and the norms of the Church. The Provincial Minister, together with the friars present, invoked God’s blessings upon the new Guardian as he begins this important service to the community.
In his message, the Provincial Minister thanked Fr. Francis for his generous acceptance of this responsibility and encouraged the fraternity to support him through prayer, fraternity, and collaboration. Fr. Francis, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and reaffirmed his dedication to fostering a community rooted in prayer, fraternity, formation, and service.
The installation marks the beginning of a new phase in the life of the fraternity at St. Bonaventure Ashram, Bangalore, as it continues its mission of Franciscan witness and formation under the leadership of Fr. Francis Paramby.
