Formation Visit to St. Francis Friary, Doltala
Ongoing formation programme strengthens bonds and provides guidance to the Doltala community.
Doltala, Kolkata, January 12, 2026: As part of the ongoing formation programme, Fr. Louis Panthiruvelil, Fr. Stanly Panelikudy, and Fr. Sijo Njarakulam visited St. Francis Friary, Doltala, on Tuesday evening, January 6.
The Fathers were accorded a warm welcome by the community with a shawl and bouquet upon their arrival. During the visit, they observed the ongoing church construction work. After the initial visit, they visited other communities within the St. Paul the Apostle Joint Mission, Kolkata, and returned again to St. Francis Friary on Monday, January 12. On the same day, a formal meeting was held with Fr. Sebastian Vadakkekattezhathu, Mission Superior, and Fr. Sijo Nadakkal.
The interaction focused on formation-related matters and provided encouragement and guidance to the community. The Fathers departed the following day.
