A New Scholastic Year Begins
Community Gathers to Welcome New Friars, Bless Artwork, and Launch the Academic Year
7 June 2026: – The Scholastic Year 2026–2027 was inaugurated in the presence of Fr. Provincial, Fr. Louis (Rector), Fr. Lijo, Fr. James, Fr. Thomas, and all the friars. The celebration commenced with the Evening Prayer, followed by the solemn blessing of the Sacred Heart relief artwork, prepared by Fr. Louis with the assistance of the brothers. The blessing was presided over by the Provincial Minister.
In an atmosphere of prayer, fraternity, and joy, the community welcomed five newly professed and eight solemnly professed friars. In his address, Fr. Provincial thanked the friars for their dedication, encouraged them to grow “from holiness to wholeness,” and formally inaugurated the academic year, invoking God’s blessings upon their studies and formation. The celebration was further enriched by a video presentation on Mission 20, showcasing the missionary experiences of the friars. The occasion also witnessed the release of the 68th edition of Homily Notes, the first copy of which was presented to Fr. Lijo. The celebration concluded with a cultural program and a fraternal gathering.
