Joyous Diaconate Ordinations at Montefano

Four brothers, including two from our Sri Lankan Mission, embrace the sacred ministry of the Diaconate in a spirit of shared vocation.

MONTEFANO: A truly joyful and grace-filled occasion unfolded at Montefano as four devoted brothers were ordained to the sacred order of the Diaconate. Among those receiving this blessed ministry were Friar Isuru Sandanuwan and Friar Subodha Kumar Nayak of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual (OFM Conv.), proudly representing the Sri Lankan Mission. In a beautiful testament to the universal brotherhood of the Church, they stood alongside two fellow ordinands from the OMI and Benedictine communities to receive this sacrament together.

The Diaconate signifies a profound step in their spiritual journey and lifelong dedication to the Church, beautifully mirroring the humble example of Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve. The entire Sri Lankan Mission rejoices in deep thanksgiving for the precious gift of these vocations and the brothers' generous, unwavering response to God’s call. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all four newly ordained deacons, fervently praying that the Lord continues to bless, guide, and strengthen them as they embark upon their diaconal ministry
