Feast of St. Padre Pio Celebrated
Pitakotte, Sri Lanka – September 23, 2025 -The community gathered in great devotion to celebrate the Feast of St. Padre Pio at 6:00 p.m. The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr. Mathew Purayidom, with Frs. Raphael, Shibin, and Simon concelebrating.
A large number of devotees, benefactors, and neighbours participated in the festal celebration, honouring the beloved saint known for his deep prayer, compassion, and spiritual guidance.
After the Mass, the faithful joined in a procession, which concluded with the blessing using the relic of St. Padre Pio. The celebration came to a joyful close with a generously organized by the people, strengthening the bonds of community and faith.
