Assisi Snehalaya Celebrates the Patron of Parish Priests in a Spirit of Gratitude and Fraternity
4 August 2026, Assisi Snehalaya – The community of Assisi Snehalaya came together in a spirit of gratitude and fraternity on 4th August 2026 to celebrate the Feast of St. John Mary Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests. The celebration commenced at 6.30 a.m. with a solemn Holy Mass in the Latin Rite (English), presided over by Fr. Alphonse Vazhappandy, OFM Conv., Vicar Provincial of the Order, as the main celebrant. He was joined at the altar by Fr. Ferdinand, Fr. Jibin Jolly, Fr. Justin, and Fr. Arun.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, the community gathered in the dining hall for a festive cake-cutting ceremony. The occasion was further enriched by the presence of sisters from various congregations, who presented beautiful bouquets and extended their warm greetings and prayers to the priests on the feast day. The celebration was a joyful expression of appreciation for the gift of priestly ministry and a reminder of the faithful service inspired by the example of St. John Mary Vianney.
