Franciscan Paper Presentation 2025

    Katana, Sri Lanka – September 28, 2025 –  The Franciscan Paper Presentation for the academic year 2024–2025 was held at St. Anthony’s Minor Seminary, Katana, bringing together student friars from both philosophy and theology streams. A total of nine presentations were delivered, each exploring a distinctive aspect of Franciscan spirituality and tradition.
The session was enriched by lively and insightful discussions following each presentation, fostering deeper reflection and intellectual engagement. Fr. Raphael KANIYAMPALAKAL served as the moderator and evaluator for the programme.
At the conclusion of the event, Friar Jobin was awarded first prize, while Friars Subodh and Shybin shared the second prize, in recognition of their scholarly excellence. Fr. Simon, Mission Animator, congratulated all the friars and highlighted the importance of academic study and research in strengthening religious life.
The presence of               made the occasion especially joyful and inspiring, offering them a meaningful introduction to the Franciscan intellectual tradition.
