MAMMA LIDIA CAFÉ INAUGURATED AT ASSISI SHANTHI KENDRA
A Memorial Initiative of the Militia Immaculatae Celebrates Fraternity and Gratitude
1 August 2026 | Assisi Shanthi Kendra, Karukutty - “Mamma Lidia Café,” a memorial initiative of the Militia Immaculatae (MI), Karukutty, was inaugurated at Assisi Shanthi Kendra as part of the celebrations commemorating the 800th Franciscan Centenary and the Silver Jubilee of MI Karukutty.
The café was inaugurated by Mr. Babu Sani, President of Karukutty Grama Panchayath, in the presence of Ms. Magi Babu, Member of Karukutty Grama Panchayath, and was blessed by Rev. Fr. Michael Earaly, OFM Conv., Minister Provincial.
The initiative was undertaken by MI Karukutty with gratitude to Ms. Lidia Tetta, a well-wisher, in appreciation of her support and friendship. The café stands as a lasting memorial of the Jubilee celebrations and as a place of welcome and fraternity at Assisi Shanthi Kendra.
