ST. MARY’S PARISH, GANGTE CELEBRATES PARISH DAY AND FEAST OF THE NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Faithful Gather for a Day of Prayer, Fellowship, and Celebration
8 September 2026 | St. Mary’s Parish, Gangte, Arunachal Pradesh: St. Mary’s Parish, Gangte, joyfully celebrated its Parish Day together with the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 8th September, bringing together the faithful from the parish communities for a day of prayer, fellowship, and celebration.
The celebration was preceded by a nine-day novena from 29th August to 7th September, preparing the community spiritually for the feast.
The feast day began with a procession, followed by the Holy Eucharistic celebration. The faithful gathered with devotion and thanksgiving, seeking the maternal intercession of Mary and renewing their commitment to Christ.
The celebration continued with a cultural program and community meal, followed by volleyball and games in the afternoon. The joyful gathering strengthened the bonds of faith, unity, and fellowship among the different village communities.
