Welcome to Conventual Franciscan Friars India

Our order was established in India in 1981 in Kerala under Syro-Malabar Rite. Since then there was a steady and progressive growth and at present, we have become a Province with 85 Solemnly Professed Friars and around 200 total strength. Now the Province has arrived to take up certain creative steps in its apostolic ministry as Franciscans.

From the beginning of our presence in India as a social apostolate we were focusing on helping the poor by building houses for them and also educating the intelligent and economically backward children.
